Hørsholm is a municipality on the coast of Øresund approximately 25 km (15.53 mi) north of Copenhagen. The neighbouring municipalities are the municipalities of Fredensborg-Humlebæk and Rudersdal.
In Hørsholm you will find beautiful nature, breathtaking forests and popular beaches. A well-attended harbour in Rungsted with various shops, restaurants and cafés. With a rich commercial life, you can find almost everything you need at Hørsholm Midtpunkt – a large, modern shopping centre in the town centre. Last but not least we have top rated schools, a well-known and recognized music school and a pulsating culture & arts hub in Trommen (The Drum).
As a resident in Hørsholm you can lead an active lifestyle by taking advantage of a wide range of offers within culture, sports and outdoor activities such as marked running trails, shelters, sublime golf courses and much more.
A new and exciting residential area for newcomers of all ages is being developed on Usserød Kongevej – close to the town centre and recreational parks. The site used to host the local hospital, and the building destruction was finalised in May 2017. The staging of the new residential area is planned to kick off in 2018.

How to get your CPR number fast and easy
At International House Copenhagen you can apply for your CPR number:
From 1 June 2017 you need to apply for your CPR number online. You can fill in the application wherever you please – as long as you have an EU registration certificate / residence permit.
This is what you need to do:
- Fill in the application form online on ihcph.kk.dk.
- Book an appointment at the International House.
- Bring all relevant documents.
- Pick up your CPR number in person.
